Support LGBTQ+ Youth

At Wicked Fabulous, as a gay couple owned small business, we are committed to making a positive impact on the LGBTQ+ community. As part of our commitment to giving back, we launched our permanent "Giving Back Campaign." We have been donating 10% of our profits to LGBTQ youth causes each month, and as of May 1, 2025 we will be selecting a different LGBTQ cause of various kinds each month at local levels, to allow for a greater diversification of the non profits and organizations we can help . (We will be posting the donation and the cause in the blog each month.)We are also willing to donate products from the store in the form of gift baskets, etc in lieu of monies if an organization feels it will have a bigger impact. (Silent auctions, etc.)

As of April 30, 2025, together we have raised over $1,719.33 for LGBTQ at risk youth, split between the Trevor Project, the True Colors Fund, and the Ali Forney Center. (Not bad for a small home based business of only two!) And YOU did this, our customers! You made this all possible, and we look forward to having a greater impact as the business grows.

Why the main Focus on LGBTQ+ Youth?

Recent studies by the Trevor Project have highlighted the critical challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth:

45% of LGBTQ+ youth seriously considered suicide in the past year
36% of LGBTQ+ youth reported being physically threatened or harmed due to their sexual orientation or gender identity
20% of transgender and nonbinary youth attempted suicide
These alarming statistics show that more support is needed for LGBTQ+ youth, and together, we can make a difference.
