Supporting LGBTQ+ Youth: The Heart of Wicked Fabulous

At Wicked Fabulous, we believe that love, authenticity, and community are more than words — they’re a way of life. As a gay couple-owned small business, our mission goes beyond selling jewelry and apparel. We’re here to make a difference. That’s why we launched our permanent “Giving Back Campaign,” a heartfelt initiative that donates 10% of our profits each month to LGBTQ+ causes, with a special focus on youth support and empowerment.

 A Growing Movement of Love

Since day one, this campaign has been a cornerstone of who we are. Before April 30, 2025, together with our amazing customers, we raised over $1,719.33 for LGBTQ+ at-risk youth — funds that went directly to The Trevor Project, the True Colors Fund, and the Ali Forney Center. Not bad for a small home-based business run by just two people! Every purchase, every bracelet, every tee — you made this possible.

 Expanding Our Reach, One Month at a Time

Beginning May 1, 2025, we’ve expanded our mission by selecting a different LGBTQ+ cause each month, focusing on local and regional organizations that create direct impact in their communities. We’ll share updates and donation totals right here on our blog, so you can see the difference your support makes.

Here’s what you’ve already helped accomplish this year:

• May 2025 – Hull Pride (Hull, MA): Our hometown Pride group, offering scholarships for LGBTQ+ high school seniors.

• June 2025 – Outright Vermont (Burlington, VT): Building hope, healing, and community for LGBTQ+ youth across Vermont.

• July 2025 – Lost-N-Found Youth (Atlanta, GA): Providing safety, compassion, and shelter for LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness.

• August 2025 – We Are Family (North Charleston, SC): Creating safe spaces and life-saving services for queer youth in the South.

• September 2025 – Nashville Launch Pad (Nashville, TN): Offering emergency shelter and transitional housing for LGBTQ+ youth in crisis.

We’re also proud to donate products and gift baskets to local fundraisers and silent auctions — because sometimes a bracelet or gift set can raise even more awareness (and joy!) than a check.

 Why We Focus on LGBTQ+ Youth

Recent studies by The Trevor Project reveal just how urgently this work is needed:

•  45% of LGBTQ+ youth seriously considered suicide in the past year

•  36% reported being physically threatened or harmed because of their identity

•  20% of transgender and nonbinary youth attempted suicide

These numbers aren’t just statistics — they’re reminders that our youth need us. They need hope, safe spaces, and tangible support. Together, we’re creating that change.
